ABUJA - OCTOBER 14, 2026

As Nigeria's political landscape begins to gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Working People United (WoPU) throws its weight behind the newly inaugurated All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), describing the over 100-member team as a formidable "winning squad" capable of delivering victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In this regard, WoPU congratulates President Tinubu, the ruling APC, and members of the newly constituted campaign council, while reminding them that celebration must immediately give way to action.

WoPU however praises the council's composition which includes non APC governors as very strategic and with the members' experience, loyalty, and strategic capacity, no stone should be left unturned, because the real test of the council's effectiveness would be its ability to secure what we will describe as a "decisive and historic" victory for President Tinubu and Vice President Kashima in the January 16, 2027 presidential election.

The inauguration marks only the beginning of a demanding political journey as the appointment is not not merely to occupy positions, but to chart the course to victory as the APC's frontline force in the battle for re-election.

WoPU notes that while the party's campaign strategies, mobilization efforts, and political rallies would be important, they must ultimately serve one overriding objective: ensuring President Tinubu's return to office through an overwhelming electoral mandate.

We further challenged members of the council to remain focused and united, warning against distractions that could derail the mission ahead, because history would judge the PCC not by the grandeur of its inauguration but by the outcome it delivers at the ballot box.
