WORKING PEOPLE UNITED MOURNS 32 NIGERIANS LOST IN ONDO AIRCRAFT CRASH
Abuja, Nigeria — October 6, 2026

Working People United (WoPU) expresses its profound grief over the tragic aircraft crash in Igbokoda, Ondo State, which claimed the lives of 32 people, including personnel of the Nigerian Air Force.
This is a painful moment for Nigeria. Behind the number 32 are 32 lives, 32 families, 32 stories and countless dreams that have been abruptly cut short. They were fathers, mothers, husbands, wives, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, colleagues and friends. For many families, a loved one left home in the morning and never returned.
The pain of such a loss cannot be measured in numbers.
Working People United extends its deepest condolences to the families of the victims, their colleagues in the Nigerian Air Force, the Armed Forces of Nigeria and everyone affected by this heartbreaking tragedy.
As an organisation committed to the dignity, welfare and advancement of working people, WoPU recognises the sacrifice of Nigerians who put their lives on the line in service to the nation.
The men and women of our Armed Forces are workers too. They carry out difficult assignments, operate under demanding conditions and make personal sacrifices to keep the nation safe. Their service deserves our respect, their families deserve our support, and their lives must always be valued.
A uniform does not make a life less precious. A rank does not make a loss less painful.
At this difficult time, we stand firmly with the bereaved families and the Nigerian Air Force. We pray that Almighty God grants eternal rest to the departed and gives their families the strength to endure this devastating loss.
We also trust that the ongoing process of establishing the circumstances surrounding the crash will provide the clarity and answers that the affected families and the Nigerian people deserve.
Nigeria mourns. Working People United mourns. And we will not forget the sacrifice of those who lost their lives in service to our nation.
May their souls rest in peace.
Signed
Comrade Prince Williams Enredonana
